John Strefford PhD is Senior Lecturer in the LRF Cytogenetics group in Southampton and has been instrumental in initiating the genomic microarray studies in collaboration with Dean Fennell. John is currently CGH consultant for the group.

Paula Wells PhD FRCR MRCP is Consultant Clinical Oncologist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Paula takes the clinical lead for radiotherapy treatment for mesothelioma patients. Paula has a PhD form London University and is an expert on clinical trials.

Steven Edmondson FRCP FRCS is Consultant Thoracic and Cardiac Surgeon at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Steve provides thoracic surgery for Bart’s Mesothelioma Research and meets weekly with the other team members to discuss surgical issues for our mesothelioma patients.

Terry O’Shaughnessy FRCP is Consultant Thoracic Physician at Newham University Hospital and the Northeast London Cancer Network. Terry is the cancer specialist thoracic physician at Newham University Hospital which is situated in one the areas of highest mesothelioma incidence in the UK.

Angshu Bhowmik MRCP is Consultant Thoracic Physician at Homerton University Hospital. Angshu is the lead thoracic cancer specialist at this well-known east London Hospital.

Peter Armstrong FRCR FRCP is Professor of Radiology at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Peter was previously President of the Royal College of Radiologists and Director of Radiology at the University of Virginia, USA.

Steve Ellis FRCR MRCP is Consultant Thoracic Radiologist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the London Chest Hospital. Steve has a special expertise in radiology of the chest and in CT-guided mesothelioma biopsies.

Amit Parmar is a student at the Medical College of St Bartholomew’s Hospital. He hopes to qualify as a doctor in 2005. He has recently been involved in the review of clinical results of treatment for patients with mesothelioma.
